    FAQ

    Frequently asked questions.

Who can join UpperClass as a Student Creator?
UpperClass is for students, alumni, campus leaders, club officers, community builders, and content creators who want to work with brands or universities on paid campaigns. You do not need to be a celebrity influencer. What matters most is that you are trusted by your community and can create authentic content or help activate students around a campaign.
Do I need a large following to get accepted?
No. UpperClass is not only about follower count. Some campaigns need creators with strong TikTok or Instagram reach, but many brands also need students who are active in campus communities, student organizations, events, group chats, clubs, or specific cities. A smaller creator with real student trust can be more valuable than a large account with the wrong audience.
What types of campaigns can I join?
You may be matched with campaigns such as UGC content creation, product reviews, campus activations, event promotions, product sampling, student sign-up campaigns, brand launch support, university recruitment campaigns, and short-form video campaigns for TikTok, Instagram Reels, or YouTube Shorts. Some campaigns are online-only. Others may involve offline events, pop-ups, campus visits, or student community activations.
How does UpperClass match me with campaigns?
UpperClass matches creators based on your profile, location, school, interests, content style, language, audience, and campaign fit. Brands and universities usually have specific goals, such as reaching students in a certain city, promoting a product, driving sign-ups, or producing authentic student content. Your profile helps us decide which campaigns are most relevant for you.
What will I be expected to do in a campaign?
Each campaign has its own brief. Before accepting, you will see what the brand needs, what content or activity is required, the deadline, and the reward. A campaign may ask you to create a short video, attend an event, post content, share a sign-up link, collect feedback, invite students, or help promote a product or experience. You only accept campaigns that fit you.
How do creator payments and rewards work?
Rewards depend on the campaign. Some campaigns may offer cash payouts, points, free products, event access, commissions, or special creator perks. You will see the reward details before joining. UpperClass helps keep campaigns organized so creators understand the deliverables, timeline, and payout structure before doing the work.
Can I work directly with brands outside UpperClass?
For campaigns introduced through UpperClass, communication, campaign tracking, deliverables, and payouts should stay inside the UpperClass system. This protects both creators and brands by making expectations clear, keeping proof of work organized, and making sure payments and campaign records are properly tracked.
What kind of content do brands usually want?
Most brands want authentic content that feels native to student life — not overly scripted ads. This can include day-in-the-life videos, product reviews, campus recommendations, event recaps, group content, student reactions, lifestyle videos, testimonials, or short-form content that explains why a product, service, university, or event is relevant to students.
How do I improve my chances of getting selected?
Complete your profile, add your social links, upload sample content, clearly describe your campus/community influence, and keep your interests updated. If you are part of a student organization, club, event team, sports group, or campus community, mention it. Brands often look for creators who can help them reach real student networks, not just produce content.
Will UpperClass tell me exactly what to say?
UpperClass and the brand will provide a campaign brief, key messages, guidelines, and do's and don'ts. But your content should still sound like you. The best student creator content feels natural, honest, and relatable. The goal is not to turn you into an ad — it is to help brands become part of real student conversations.
Why are brands and universities using Student Creators?
Because students trust other students. Brands and universities want to reach young people in a way that feels more authentic than traditional ads, flyers, or generic ambassador programs. UpperClass helps them launch student-led campaigns without having to recruit, manage, and track creators manually.
